Dystopia — Aghyar is an academic set design project inspired by Ahmed Khaled Tawfik's dystopian novel Utopia. The project reimagines the novel through a cinematic visual language, exploring a fragmented world shaped by inequality, isolation, and the loss of human values.
I developed a series of dystopian environments and cinematic landscapes, translating the narrative into spatial experiences through architectural composition, materiality, atmosphere, and visual contrast.
The project explores how set design can transform literary themes into visual worlds, using space, environment, and cinematic composition as tools for storytelling.
